Getting through college, those first years of working full-time, and getting married are a few among many areas that cost an emotional toll for me. However, I wouldn't trade any of those seasons in my life for anything else. The tough times make us who we are and, usually, the difficult parts of life turn out to give us the most rewards. If you can relate to some of these or have other areas that are very difficult to get through please know that there are people who can and will help you with what you are going through. You may want to consider talking with a counselor at a hotline. There are many hotlines that are 24/7 and will work with you and your situation like yours. Some even have email and/or chat if you would prefer.

Hopefully, you will continue to reach out!

My father died when I was four and no one would tell me where he had gone. My brother would tell me he saw him someplace and I spent much of my youth looking for him until at some point I realized the truth. Led to fear of abandonment in my adult years so made me a very closed up individual for many years
