Should people who use sexually explicit and extremely vulgar language be allowed on Yahoo! Answers?

I've written to Yahoo! Answers 9 times since 2015 began and still have had no action taken.

Last time I asked a similar question, the response from many was to "change my profile name", or "go away from Yahoo! Answers for a while". These are not acceptable solutions in my opinion.

It used to be that if someone was harassing you, you could let someone at Y!A know and they would suspend the profile. Has this policy changed? Has Yahoo! simply abandoned these forums completely?

I happen to be one of those who answered your other question, and I, along with a couple others, were the ones that suggested you change your Avatar name and take a couple weeks off to see if you can lose your stalker. I know that is not a "just" way to handle this, and I hear your frustration, but in the real world witnesses sometimes have to go into a witness relocation program when the criminals go free.

Even if you managed to get someone on the Yahoo staff to take a personal interest in this for a minute, track down and delete this account, that stalker will just sign up under another guise and come after you again. It's not like Yahoo has the authority to go to their home, take away their computer and keep them from ever buying another one again. And the days when they could actually block an ISP are long over.

Sorry that once again, this isn't the answer you want, but it's a Brave New World out there...

Since there is no way to stop him just making another profile and continuing to troll even if his current account is suspended AND the fact that you refuse to even try anything that was suggested. I don't know what you expect anyone to say at this point.

Changing your username and removing your avatar were probably the best things you could do to make yourself less of a target.....though admittedly even that might not stop him completely if you have a distinct and recognizable answering style.

Like it or not continuing to email YAT AND/OR maybe bringing it to the attention of the users in the chatzy to see if they'll help you with that, are you're only options here.

Other than that, you're pretty much screwed at this point cause people have probably all ready given the best advice on the matter that they can and you obviously don't have any better ideas that conform to your ideals/opinions any more than anyone else on here does, cause common sense says you wouldn't be asking again if you did.

    Sorry, but them's the breaks

The latest example from a vicious person that goes by fahQ is here: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150...

Every now and then, reporting them doesn't even make the vulgarity and sexually explicit comments go away. If someone else reports the abuse, I'd appreciate it.

If anyone has any contact information to actually get someone's attention from Yahoo! Answers, I'd appreciate that. y_answrs_team@yahoo.com hasn't done me any good lately.

Not as long as it's directly insulting someone. If it is used in a passive sense, then it's freedom speech. If not, then there's no room for it here.

Yes. If it can be said on cable TV, it should be allowed here
