why do my new vinyl windows leak cold air through the seams?

    Because they were probably made by Jeld-Wen, available in places like Home Depot and Lowes, which are notorious for their poor quality.

    Caulk around the edges as best you can, and try the rubber door sealers that can be glued on or have their own self sticking adhesive. Not pretty, but better than that high utility bill.

    They weren't installed right.
