Richard Sherman will have Tommy John surgery, will the Seahawks defense dominate without him?

It takes pitchers up to 12 months to recover, I suppose it takes less for a CB because they don't rely on the elbows that much. Still, Sherman will miss at least a couple of months of next season.

Usually 12 months for a MLB pitcher.

A CB in the NFL does not have to use his elbow is the same way.

Recovery time probably 4 to 6 months tops.

On the plus side, Sherman will probably gain 3-5 mph on his fastball.

It wont take as long for a football player to recover. It's easier to get away with PED use in the NFL. Not that it's tough to in the MLB either.
