Do any of these programs look like viruses?
I accidentally clicked on a bad link to one of those gore sites, and now I think I might have a virus, because everything on my desktop that I clicked on earlier would get deleted. Any help, please?

Most of them look OK. But for a virus to be present in the system, it needn't show up in installed programs list. In fact most viruses don't show up there. They only put themselves in one of the Windows' startup locations and run in background.
Like the previous person said, check your task manager, go to processes and click show process from all users. Figure out if there is any suspicious one in there. Also, check Start Menu> startup, msconfig> Startup, Registry> HKLKM, HKCU> ...> Run/Run Once etc. And if you find something, disable it, go to the file location and delete. (don't delete if you're not sure if the executable is virus or not. Just rename the parent folder)

Look at your tasklist of things running and compare against http://www.what-is-exe.com/ Make sure you dont have anything weird running in the background of pc.
