AMC Walkingdead Season 5: Tyreese death, was it a dumb episode or a meaningful one?
I for one didn't like how Tyreese died. I always expected him going out fighting. And when they chopped his arm off, I thought they saved him just like they did for that old guy back at the prison.
This episode was weird. Weird like that episode where that nerdy guy had a dream about dead people in season 1 and Rick seeing his wife's ghost and hearing phone calls.
Not only Tyreese was seeing all those dead people was weird, but what is up with all of those bodies that got the arms and legs chopped off? Were those people from that town camp?

I think it was a great comeback episode, for 1 it piled-on the mid-season finale(which reaffirmed my trust in the writers, they won't hold back), and 2nd it created unease.
Spoilers----------------------
The entire episode you're playing catch-up(which I believe is the intended emotion for this episode after the dramatic mid-season finale), the imagery, the memories, the hallucinations, getting Noah home to honour Beth, you root for Tyreese, you see hope, you see it fade, and you see it for every character, and you see a new what I believe is a 'biter-trap'(to catch people), and I think will be related to the news-reports about marauders Tyreese heard on the radio(the radio report describes the remains they find outside of the town, and the ones that fall out of the truck).

I've never read the comics, but I hear that Tyreese was a total badass. However, in the actual show, he was too much of a peaceful person to go out hard. His death did shock me as it came pretty early, but him just bleeding out didn't shock me at all.

I didn't really care for it. The torsos will be explored in future episodes. They mentioned that on Talking Dead.

not sure if we can even tell yet, i think it's just to hook us more, but it was done too early, and i liked tyreese he shouldn't have gotten killed off that easy/less suspenseful.
