How can I get the News and Events section on Yahoo Answers without being sent to 'Politics' section?

You have to Submit first and a Category is automatically selected based on keywords in your question.

Editing the Category only takes seconds if after you submit and it is not where you want it.

When you ask your Question you could start it with Current Events, that may or may not help with placement.

Click Edit Category above the question and then All.

Find the Category you want it in, click that and Subcategory click that and Submit.

For your Question All > News & Events > Current Events

On the newer format with round avatars click Edit under the question and then Edit category.

Once you post your question hit the edit button and change the category.
