How can I ask a question about current 'News and Events' section of Yahoo?....?

without my question instead appearing wrongly in 'politics' section, or 'travel' etc?

If you are on Mobile switch to Desktop.

You have to Submit first and a Category is automatically selected based on keywords in your question.

Editing the Category only takes seconds if after you submit your Question if it is not where you want it.

When you ask your Question you could start it with Current Events, that may or may not help with placement.

Asking your Question in that Category does not mean it will automatically be placed there.

Click Edit Category above the Question and then All.

Find the Category you want it in, click that and Subcategory click that and Submit.

For your Question All > News & Events > Current Events

On the newer format with round avatars click Edit under the Question and then Edit category.
