Question: where can i download free movies for mac?
Deleted Answer: Vuze has worked well for me for several years, several versions. Maybe you can explain what part of it is not working properly. To simplify your life, don't try to use Vuze as a web browser. Do this instead: -- Go to http://torrentscan.com/ to find the torrent files. Most torrents will appear in the search for any site, since they all cross-list what the other sites show. -- Download the torrent file ("MyTVshow.torrent"). Keep all your torrent files in one folder. DO NOT MOVE THEM ABOUT after adding to Vuze. -- Launch Vuze. ? O (or File > Open > Torrent file). Click the "Add files" button at top left. Find the torrent file you downloaded. When you add a torrent for a TV series, it may show 13 or more episodes, plus extras, plus some goofy info file you will never read. Uncheck unwanted items.
continuing...
"Details, some are Vuze-only, some are P2P universal: -- You can rename the "display name" if it shows something asinine, such as "Season 3" or worse, just "S3". This can only be done properly done through the Vuze interface. -- DO NOT rename or move the torrent file after adding it to Vuze. DO NOT rename any partial download. DO NOT move any partial download, unless you know how to use the "Change data directory" feature of Vuze.
"-- You can use two different computers, two OS volumes on the same computer (If that makes no sense to you, it isn't important), or two user accounts on the same computer and have one common download location if you copy the prefs folder (yourhomefolde /Library /Application Support /Vuze) to the new system or new user EACH TIME you switch and BEFORE you launch Vuze in that other system or other user. I do this often, but if you try it and mess up.....
you could find yourself having to clean up all your torrents and enter them again -- no fun. -- Although torrents should reconnect and continue from where they left off after a restart, I find using one dedicated torrent system always on 24 hours a day is best... maybe not green, but it avoids those rare glitches. From my location, the downloads are slow and the time difference is great compared with the U.S. where most peers reside. -- Downloads only happen when your computer is started,....
"awake, and connected to the Internet. Direct wired ethernet is the fasted connection, but it works by Wi-Fi also. Firewall is usually fine. -- Many people have odd connection situations that require "port forwarding". Never came up for me, but it can be quite a struggle for some people. Vuze has more features than most people know how to use. Other torrent clients at the link below. Any of them are simpler to use than Vuze. None of them have as many features as Vuze."

Illegal - offering advice to facilitate copyright violation.
The technology of Torrents may not be illegal - it's a grey area - but the question specifically asked for "free movies" ... which will be a copyright breach unless the asker wants old out-of-copyright movies or obscure amateur/indy stuff released to the public domain, and how likely is that? We all know how underwhelmed askers are when they ask for sites for free books, and they get correctly pointed to Project Gutenberg.

You answered a question about how to do some illegal by giving the details how to do the illegal act, which is against the community guidelines.
Violating the law
Members of Yahoo Answers are not above the law, so don't post anything that violates the laws of your country, state, province, or city. Don't try to trick people into sharing their personal information, steal anything (like copyright or trademark material), or break into places you shouldn't be. Don't threaten, harass, impersonate, or hurt others, and don't invade other people's privacy.

There is not specific reference to torrent links in the CG, but they do refer to not posting anything that aids in breaking the law. Torrents are not legal - in the US. Since the basic location for the site is in the US, it adheres to the laws of the US. Therefore, torrent links are illegal to post here.
