What do you think about the name Valkyrie?
I'm not having a child anytime soon but I read some other articles about it and apparently people don't like it that much. I don't know why though! I think it is the most beautiful name in the world, and I've always really liked unique names like that. I think V names are really pretty, like Vanessa or Victoria. And the meaning of Valkyrie is cool too, and it's also the name of my favourite book character.
I don't understand, though, why anybody would make fun of somebody for a name (except for that one kid who got stuck with the name Hashtag :/ haha). Does Valkyrie sound like a stripper name or something? I think it's pretty.

It's a title not a name, (pseudonyms for characters in YA novels notwithstanding). In Norse mythology they were the gatherers of the dead, the word means chooser of the slain, not exactly pretty, now, is it?

I looked it up. It has horrible meaning to me. It's very odd. i don't think it's beautiful and I don't think it's usable. Totally your choice but my guess is a girl with that name would insist on being called Val.

I like the name Valkryie myself as well I think it's a very meaningful and strong name for a girl, and no it doesn't sound like a strippers name lol.

How bout "Sonic" like Sonic the Hedgehog? if you like Germanic names, try Hedwiga or Waltraud.
