In the United States, what is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat?

There isn't much different. Both believe in the expansion of government power and the lure of tax revenue. The real difference is in the ways the money is spent. Democrats favor social programs and infrastructure while the Republicans favor corporate welfare and military spending. Partisanship is at real high right now. Couple that with a rising tide of ignorance and the ability of opinion masters to manipulate the ignorant and what you see is what you get.

Democrats believe you can stand in a bucket and lift yourself up.

Republicans believe that government handouts are a fiscal liability.

Democrats have historically been in favor of slavery.

Republicans have historically been interested in a more productive society, by allowing people to take home an honest living.

Republicans are like the BNP, while Democrats are like the Conservatives

I think democrats like to demolish the cratitioners and the republicans like to repub the licans.

Both are controlled by money ,whoever controls money controls both .You must have noticed that the democrats did more to save the big banks who had cheated and caused the financial chaos than they did to save the homes of the little people

Both sides are bad i think,as an unaffiliated voter, i dont know what to believe anymore, Republicans are conservative or the "GOP" (grand ole party) they believe in helping themselves and democrats believe in helping the lazy

Nothing is different between the two, they only give the illusion of being different so the unconscious masses don't realize they are being scammed and robbed.

They're all Politicians. They all lie, cheat and steal their way to power, then don't have a clue what to do when they get there

The only real difference is how extreme their views are. There's right wing and then extreme right wing.
