Was Jameis Winston's 40 time the equivalent of the average JV QB in high school?

That's what #2 football expert Jimson Cuenta said on the Twitter.

As you know, nobody keeps those stats. The quarterback who I worked with the most in school ran a step under 5 flat (we were hand timed with no hundredths). The guy behind him was slower than snail snot; he was lucky to break 5.5. The QB from the class ahead of us was fast - I'd guess about 4.7.

That would be a silly thing to say. I've no idea what the average JV QB runs, but even if it were what Winston ran (just under 5.0 IIRC), how is that relevant? Quarterbacks are not needed to be fast. A 40 time for a QB is only slightly less irrelevant than the 40 time for the offensive lineman.

He's not blazing fast, but that's not the most important thing in a QB.
