Is there a more indirect way to ask someone if they are in a relationship?

I like this Gentleman, and we know each other a fair bit. I don't want to come out and ask him, "Are you in a Relationship?". Is there a more casual way to say that? I've never had to ask someone this question before. We are in the 40's/50's age bracket.

    be upfront just ask him if he's single or if u don't want to ask him why not see if he wants to go get coffee

    If his name is Smith, just ask if there's a Mrs Smith.

    Ask him what his wife/girlfriend thinks about something.
