What are people's thoughts on Leonard Nimoy and his life? Do you feel he made a good contribution to the world?

Obviously I don' know him personally but I feel he has made a good contribution to the world. I'm sure many of the people who have joined NASA and strive to explore the universe were inspiried by him.

Leonard Nimoy was an actor who made an impact on my childhood and that's a positive thing and something to recall with warmth and respect

I do not know of any controversy involving this actor. He would strike me as a good person. That would be the best contribution a person can make. Otherwise, if we like national fantasies, the contribution is obvious.

Yes. His portrayal of Mr. Spock in Star Trek showed a vulnerability in his belief of Vulcan Ponfar to obtain complete non-emotion and the conflict of human emotion. He showed tolerance in dealing with his and those of others emotions, understanding wry humor as a gentle and non-offensive barb to those whose emotions are carried on their sleeve. We should all achieve such behavior.

He was a great actor. I'm going to watch "Life of Brian" in his honor.
