Should she pay?

So my girlfiend would love to have an Ipod Touch. Luckily I have one (fourth gen. 32 gb) which I dont use anymore. The device is about 3 years old now, slow, and the battery is pretty much worn out. I also havent updated its software/apps in a long time. No big problem tho because she only wants to use it for listening to music.

The point is, whenever we bring it up, she

wants to know how much I want for it. I was thinking about selling it for 30 bucks but I was wondering if it is appropiate to ask her money in the first place?

Update:

Well, I was already planning to sell it for 30 bucks just to someone who might be interested. And I wasnt really planning to charge her any money, I was just wondering. But thanks! Its clear now.

    No, just give it to her.

    PS, if she's just going to use it for music, delete all of the un-needed apps. It may not be as slow and battery life may improve a little.

    Is $30 a lot of money to you? I'd just gift it to her unless you have a real need for the cash.
