How come point we're take off my total for posting a question but the question has not shown up?

Okay, two reasons:

1. It sometimes takes 1-2 minutes to show up, and you didn't give it enough time.

2. There is an algorithm on if Yahoo will let a question post at all. No one knows it, but after sometime, we've gained some understanding of it.

The code that removes the points can't see if the question is posted or not. You ask; points are removed. That's it. The issue of non-posting can be related to things like links or special characters in the question. Sometimes, adding updates to the question will make it post.
