i asked a question it didn't post but they took point for it then....?
I asked about this a got a answer that seemed reasonable for the over all why this site works (it has a lot of weird occurrences like wow points gone points back randomly) (I screen capture frequently) But anyhow the funny is in answering questions. (Except when you get ripped off for points to randomly)
So part of the advice was to edit the question....
How do you edit the question?
It only wants to let me edit the catogory?

You "add Updates", not edit it. If you are on a mobile device, you may need to change to Desktop mode to do so.
You lose 5 points when you ask, but you gain BACK 3 points when you finally choose a Best Answer. You also get 1 point each day when you sign in, 10 points if YOU get chosen as Best Answer - plus 1 point for each thumbs up that BA had when it was chosen. That might be where you are "randomly" getting points back.

You can't edit the actual question after it's been posted but you can go to the pencil (edit) icon and use the update option to clarify it. You get five of those.

Once you submit it, you can't edit the question. The best you can do is ask again and edit then.
