Are European cities and Chinese cities going car-free? I've heard of some in Europe and china that are.?

    In China cars are taking over. It is now dangerous to ride a bike in most main cities and it is getting worse.

    Very unlikely that any city is going to go totally car free.

    In Europe there are a few cities that have restrictions on entry for cars for the whole city, but that is a charge for most cars and sometimes a ban on some of the most dirty cars.

    But most cities have just a small area where there are no cars allowed, just a few streets where people walk.

    And in those streets cars and even lorries are allowed in for a few hours each day to get the supplies into the shops.

    yes, this is necessary, a lot of cities bigger than 100k people already trying to limit car traffic, at least in city centers. Great idea for me, public transport should have the top priority
