How can I get better grades in English?

I was born in America and I grew up speaking English only but somehow I'm not doing so well in that class. I have better grades in French and this is my first time ever learning how to speak French. I have an A in French and a C in English. Do you have any suggestions for me so I can get better grades?

    Read news articles or watch thing like Tedx on YouTube. I think that will be something that increases you're vocabulary which is important in you're case i guess ;)

    I'm in highschool with a middle school english level, don't feel lonely ;)

    Just read more american books.
