My period is a week late and i am worried...Help please!!!?

Update:

I am 16 years old and I currently do not have a boyfriend, so i have not had sex, however my period is about a week late and I have no idea why. Normally when its late its only late by a few days but not by a week. Should I go see a doctor or should I just tell my mother?

    It's just later than usual this month and you might even skip a month sometimes. Being later than normal or missing an occasional period is nothing to worry about.

    a. pregnant

    or

    b. have a irregular period
