I have had this happen to me before! I don't know if you are using drug store makeup or expensive, but I have found that higher quality is better if you can swing the price (even though some of them still do that as well). I recommend going to Sephora and letting them do the color IQ test on you to see what colors are best for your skin tone, asking for samples, and taking them home to test. Wear one each day and apply it regularly to see what works best for you and doesn't turn. Also, I highly recommend appling makeup with a foundation brush in downward stroke; pump foundation onto the back of your hand and use that as a canvas!
Hope this helped(:

Just like others have said its called "Oxidization"
There are a few reasons our foundation can become darker or turn orange:
– More acidic skin.
– A pink foundation over a yellow undertone skin color.
– Foundation components reacting to the sebum in your skin.
– Oils in your skin or moisturizer intensifying the color of the pigments.
TIP;
•Use a silicone-based face primer under the foundation so as to keep the oil at bay & touch up with translucent powder. ELF has a good one and it cost about $3.
•Apply moisturizer and wait 10 minute let it sink in properly before you apply foundation.
•Use a sponge to hep give smooth, flawless, airbrush finish without heavy application.
Hope this helps

This is called "oxidizing"! Many drug-store foundations do this. For foundation, I must say, you get what you pay for. Look for some higher-end foundations at Sephora. An staff member can help you choose which foundation works the best for you, and especially one that doesn't oxidize. My favorite is the NARS Luminous Silk Foundation. Good luck!
