Nah, most wars are caused by rich people wanting to be more rich. Some wars are caused by religion though.

Nope. Religion is merely a tool in war, used to unite a people, to justify whatever one does to the enemy, and to convince the people that the cause is just. Greed is the cause of all wars.

    No.

Historians Charles Phillips and Alan Axelrod in their Encyclopedia of Wars (2004) analyzed 1,763 wars waged from circa 8000 BCE to 2003 CE. They determined only 123 wars were religious in nature and 66 of those were waged in the name of Islam, leaving, in the last 10,000 years, only 57 (3.23%) fought for all other religions combined. http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Wars-Volume-Lib...

    Biblical wars.

    Crusades.

    Inquisition.

    WWII -

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord. - Adolf Hitler

My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter.

    - Adolf Hitler

As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. - Adolf Hitler

George W Bush started FIVE wars in less than eight years stating each time that it was his "God Given Duty” and in 2001 even called it a Crusade!

Not his duty to the electors!

    Not his duty to America!

Just his duty to keep slaughtering heathens for his god!

Islam is coming ever closer to being unacceptable in any decent country. Whilst Muslims in Western countries claim they are peaceful it is American and British fighters that are doing the beheading and being suicide bombers showing that the violence is intrinsic to Western Islam as well! The reality now is that Muslims are at risk of attack by Muslims in every single country in the world!

The slaughter in Paris included the deliberate assassination of a Muslim police officer and again the assassins came from amongst the French Muslim community!!

So if Muslims want to save Islam as a religion of peace and be able to live in peace and safety they have got to act now! Some UK imams have issued a fatwa against those joining the violence! Around the world there were mass demonstrations against the French atrocity!

If Muslims want to save their religion they have to act against those from within it! Radicalisation is carried out by Imams in mosques and many are openly doing it so if Muslims want to say terrorism is not to do with Islam then when will they deal with these people and remove them from their midst?!

Only if you broaden the term 'religion' to include any belief system such as for instance National Socialism or Communism or National Interest....

They're usually caused by competition for resources and can sometimes be religiously motivated. Other times, religious beliefs are used as justification.
