Which iPhone should I get?

I'm pretty sure I've had my iPhone 4S for almost three years now. I notice that battery life keeps getting worse (which is why I haven't updated from iOS 6 - I heard the newer iOS drain battery and slow older iPhone models down). Also, I like the iOS 6 look :)
But while I appreciate the older look, my phone is definitely pretty worn out and the screen has also recently cracked.
I decided I definitely want to upgrade ASAP!
I don't care much for a significantly bigger screen, which is why I'm not sure whether I should get an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 5s.
I mostly use my phone for texting, taking photos/videos, browsing the internet, and listening to music - I usually don't download many games or many apps in general.
Money isn't an issue in this case (I'm on a contract).
So is there any reason for me to get an iPhone 6 instead of a 5s? I think I prefer the 5s from the way it looks, but I don't know if that's reason enough to not get an iPhone 6. Will the 5s be as outdated as the 4s soon? Which one has better battery life?

The iPhone 6 would generally be better because it's specifications and features are more advanced. But the cons of the iPhone 6 is the durability, the iPhone 5s withstands drops better. I have witnessed an experience when my mom dropped her iPhone 6 and it shattered throughout the screen (Fortunately she got it replaced for an inexpensive price (:) and it was a 2 foot drop. A friend of mine dropped his phone face down while walking and texting on it and the screen survived somehow!
But I mean it's your decision on what you buy and I'd say the 6 but you might wanna save up extra for a very durable case for it's protection from drops.

I think you should get the iPhone 6, I do because my mother and sister both had iPhone 4s's, my mother's was cracked and when they got the 6 they said the camera was much better, and they get more battery life. My sister who uses social media apps a lot says it definitely loads faster for apps and is generally just better. My dad also upgraded from the iPhone 5s to the 6 and he likes it better to. I hope I helped!!
P.S When they upgraded they left me in the dust with the 5c.

Well 5s provide better audio output if music is what you looking for however for game, in this case you might want a bigger screen but considering the 6 moderate screen I suggest you get the 6+ instead as it has a bigger screen

Why keep using 4S when your contract is up and 5C is free on contract? I would trade in the 4S and get 6.
