Attention any legal experts?

My husband and I live just outside of Chicago, Illinois in one of the suburbs. We are in a large apartment complex and lived here several years...however he never actually signed the lease. Does anyone know if this could have any legal issues? The reason I am asking this question is because his car was towed last night and now my apartment complex is claiming that because he is not on the lease they can do that...even though we have a two bedroom apartment and we both have parking passes!!

If he has a parking pass, then why was his car towed? If he didn't have it displayed, the tow was legit.

The legal issue is that you are month to month and they can give you 30 days notice to vacate at any time.

The fact remains he is not on the lease. If the parking pass was not properly displayed then yes they have every right to tow it.

How did he get a parking pass if he is not on the lease?

If you two do not have a lease -- there is nothing you can do -- you do not even belong there --- how you made it this long puzzles me

If he has a parking pass then he should not have been towed.
