why do they copy other tv series here in the USA, secrets and Lies is a exact copy of the other one in Australia word for word- even.?

Yes, it annoys me also. I lived in the UK for awhile and when I came back to the USA they were copying all the cool UK shows in the same way but pretending it was American. And it's never as good. They have been doing that for years and years. Many older US tv sitcoms were copied. All in the Family was copied from a UK show. One about a garbage collector and his son, copied. And tons of modern stuff including decorating shows. It makes you wonder if the USA has ANY original thinking.
