The danger there is you stand there admiring your home run only to realize it's not going over the wall. Then you have to hustle just to get yourself to first when you could have had a stand up double.

It goes against one of the unwritten rules of baseball, that you don't show your opponent up. Unfortunately, many of the younger players have no respect for those rules so they will eventually fade away, or major league games will eventually begin to resemble NHL games with fights occurring after every perceived slight.
I blame the Latinos because, coming from a macho culture and poverty-stricken areas, they don't know how to behave around civilized human beings.
I say bean 'em every time they come up to bat.

Batters admire homeruns. Pitchers stand on the mound and perform theatrics. Since both sides are doing it, it hardly seems fair to throw at the batters.
