Auto Electrical Issue question?

I only asks questions on here when I've exhausted all other options (just wanted to point that out)

For a 2002 Infiniti G20 - replaced the broken fog lamp bulbs with LED equivalent bulbs that were purchased online (The bulbs work because I tested them with a small car jumper box).

I put the new bulbs in - fog lights didn't turn on so I checked the fuse. Fuse was burned out so I replaced the fuse (it was a 15 so I put a new 15 in it). After the fuse replacement they still wouldn't turn on so I went and replaced the "FR FOG" relay switch. After the relay switch replacement they still will not turn on.

I'm asking because I've never had this happen before. I can say that the regular H3 Fog light bulbs were constantly burning out with an occasional fog light fuse burning out from time to time before all of this happened. I'm having some health issues to boot so I'm asking anyone who is familiar with this issue - to maybe point out anything I might have overlooked? I would really appreciate it.

Do you wire them in, or screw them in like a light bulb? There is "polarity" to a LED, unlike a filament bulb, which doesn't matter. So maybe switch the wires around? But the blown fuse means something else. Did you touch a hot wire to the chassis or body of the fog light housing?

You can use a test light or voltmeter to verify that there is power in the wires that you connected to.

Hi so how good is the metal on this old car that is why rust has taken away the metal and now the poor electrical connections have resulted in this situation a 2002 car is now 13 years old and will not last for ever.

Because you need to add a load resistor. A good kit will come with them.

if you are having health issues, then why be concerned about the unnecessary fog lights ?? answer from "M" is very good, but I would go further - maybe the entire wiring to the light sockets and dash needs to be replaced ??
