All good answers and please do not mistake my dark humor for cruel or mean spirited victimizing someone I admire and pity. I can't imagine that few if any U.S. military special forces members physically do what Bruce did winning the decathlon. He had what all men (heterosexuals) would sell their souls to be and every woman's sexual fantasy. Like the tears of a clown (i.e. Robin Williams suicide) the irony of the perfect man being miserable with the XX. If you are born with a dick you can never be a chick that will ovulate, carry a fetus and give birth or go through menopause. I wish shim the best if the attempt has a positive result being the sadness replaced by happiness.

Her brain is female. Her identity is female. If you believe in souls, then her soul is female. Her body, on the other hand, does not match her identity... Which is deeply unfortunate. And I know it has caused her one hell of a lot of trauma, throughout her life!

In the end, though, why should it really matter, just what kind of body she's got? Shouldn't who she really is, deep down on the inside, matter far, FAR more?! We should respect and acknowledge her as a woman, because REGARDLESS of her body not quite matching up at this point, that's the what she feels! And by respecting her identity, we can make her life one hell of a lot easier and more authentic, at absolutely NO cost to our own lives! Why the heck shouldn't we want to do that?! She's a beautiful, lovely person who deserves happiness. <3
