am i giving my betta fish to much food?
he is not getting to it all and it is just sitting in his tank causing the water to get murky

Maybe your betta is full? give it a break they can go days without food so don't worry

Mine would eat 6-8 pellets per day, max in two sittings.
Good rule of thumb is to feed fish only what they can consume in 15 seconds if you're feeding every day.

You can kill them by over feeding but not by under feeding so possibly try feeding him every other day and only feed him 2-3 pellets

Hard to say. Are you giving him more than a pinch a day? Has the portion size remained the same and he only recently seemed to stop eating it?
