Physics rotational inertia question?

What happens to the rotational inertia of a rod with 2 masses attached if the masses are moved from the center of the rod to one on each end?

    Assuming the rotation is about the center of the rod, it increases from

    I = ML²/12

    to

    I = ML²/12 + mL/2

    where M is the mass of the rod

    and L is its length

    and m is each attached mass.
