My husband is bad with money management but other than that perfect...need some advice though?
He lies to me about bills and doesn't pay them on time...it is to the point where I am at my wits end. We are NOT rich by any means but salaries combined it's over $80,000 and we live in a two bedroom apt - no kids just a cat. I think I need to take over managing the bills but I don't want to kill his ego or whatever...how do I approach

Ask him monthly report his money usage.
Also you can ask him around 60%of his income to be use for living and saving. Therefore, operate common acount to manage the money.
Then you can sure minimum level of stability.
My case, hand over all salary to wife .
Money is managed by wife.
I just ask my daily money for food and transportation, etc.

tell him the truth. from now on, he must hand over his entire paycheck to you, and you will decide how to manage it. if he wants to buy anything or needs lunch money, he must go to you and ask for it from you. and in the meantime, you can set up your own secret bank account and funnel funds into it to save up for your divorce.

put the bills on automatic pay, no one actually needs to manage anything. that is why autopay feature was created!
