How can I delete this game off my external hard drive connected to my wii u?

So I tried playing a certain level or rayman legends but my wii u would crash every time I went to that specific level. I tried several times. So, I thought why not delete the game. There is no repair tool like the 3ds. So I tried deleting the game without deleting the save data. I tried many times and it did not work. I called nintendo and they said I would have to delete the save data as well as the game. So I deleted the save data and then tried to delete the game but I got the same error as I got when I tried to delete it preserving the save data. "The data could not be deleted" There's no save data, no update data. Just the game. And I cannot delete it. It is basically stuck on my wii u. I need help deleting the game so I can redownload it so I can go on enjoying Rayman Legends.
