Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Is this a glitch, or another change? Or possibly browser related? Deleted questions still appear in YA profile list.?

In checking back on a person that was posting questions that were violations, I saw that many were still in the list of Q&A on their YA profile page. But if I clicked on them, they went to the Yahoo HOME page, showing they were deleted. Why would they still show up on the person's YA profile page, where people could then see inappropriate images/content? Aren't deleted questions supposed to be completely removed? Any insights?

Update:

My bad - I believe it WAS the "under review" message I got. Just typed faster than my brain was working and posted the wrong error message. :)

I'm pretty sure it is a glitch...the Y!A team and Yahoo Feedback board are still being hit with scathing criticism about how abusive users posting gore and shock images and the lack of functional CM led to anyone being able to see disturbing posts so there is no way that they will let violations stay up on accounts for people to see.

I predict that there is some connection with this problem that this user found: https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/211240-us-answe...

So evidently his answers are still showing up in his answer feed, and then when he checks back on the question that is still in his answer list, it is gone. So the question just stays there, similarly to your issue.

However, I am curious: do you ever get messages saying "this question is under review" with questions like the ones you described? As I understand it, clicking on a link to a deleted question will take you to the "question under review" page, not the Yahoo Homepage. Only suspended accounts redirect to the homepage. So that leads me to believe that this is a new glitch because clicking on the questions from the profile does not even take you to the expected error page, like this one: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150...

Without someone directly from Yahoo saying... we can only guess.

I have seen the same on other profiles.

I have also seen profiles saying they have asked and answered questions, but none are there.
