Boxing: Is this Cotto more cautious in and out of the ring.?

Great point. Cotto's recent approach reminds me of the rebuilding of Marco Antonio Barrera. Most don't remember the reckless slugger who lost twice to Junior Jones. After the Jones losses, Barrera actually became a patient and calculated boxer.

I think Cotto realizes his days in the upper echelon of the sport are numbered. People are beginning to become a bit nostalgic in regards to Cotto and he's doing his best to take advantage and preserve. It's almost similar to the way you hear less flack about Mayweather as people are beginning to realize he is also nearing the end of his career and boxing will miss him when he's gone.

I think this is simply a matter of Cotto facing the twilight and trying his best to preserve what's left for as long as he can.

He just wants the best money and least risk
