    Spring in Washington, by Halle;

    Alex and Me, by Pepperberg;

    Wesley the Owl, O'Brien;

    The Owl Who Liked Sitting on Caesar, Windrow;

    Hilarious Bird Jokes (suggest borrowing this from public library).

    "The Death and Burial of Poor Cock Robin" [or "Who Killed Cock Robin?"]

    and Chanticleer and the Fox, from the Nun's Priest's Tale in Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales. {I suppose the modern translation of the Tales by Penguin Books is under copyright. It's the most entertaining.}
