why are dinosaur costumes so expansive?!?!?
after seeing some dinosaur prank videos, i'v always dreamed of buying one. But if you already know, they cost a fortune D: and i want to know what is it that make them cost so much?
my guess are
-the details
-the amount of time it takes to make
-the materials
-and the demand (how badly people want it)
these are the only thing i can think of that will make it cost a lot... but i still don't think it's worth 5k~~ 0.o i also found this awesome suit that actually hides the leg. unlike the common one where you can see their legs, making it look less intimidating. too bad it doesn't say the cost :P prob 10k? -_-

so with the crafting skills, would it be cheaper to just make one? i mean of course if you're making it yourself all you need to worry about is the materials. but would the materials be affordable and not cost 3k? i never craft before so idk the price of stuff you might need :P any ruff guess's?

"expensive"
It is typical that a product costs about 1/2 the retail price to make.
These large dinosaur costumes have taken years to develop by people with decades of experience with plastics. The molds for making the parts and the framework for supporting the body on the person inside are complex. It is likely that if you were given all the details, you could not build a 1 off set of molds for less than the price of a single costume.
If you get the chance, look at one in person and check out the details.
