Gout. Is it ok to eat tomatoes?
To update the question, because of the acid in the tomatoes. You already cannot drink Orange juice because of the acid, which would add to the inflammation that the Uric Acid is causing in your extremities. On the few sites I 've scanned, I've not seen anything on tomatoes, and I'm growing them in
my backyard.

Foods that are safe to eat (low in purines):
Green vegetables and tomatoes
Fruits
Breads and cereals that are not whole-grain
Butter, buttermilk, cheese, and eggs
Chocolate and cocoa
Coffee, tea, and carbonated beverages
Peanut butter and nuts
