How to reduce eye strain when looking at computer screen?

Most of my work is done on the computer which means that I ll be staring at a computer screen for hours on end. Recently since I ve been starting to work extra hours I ve come home and seen my eyes are red. Is there any way to reduce this and stop having red eyes?

Thanks in advance

Remember to blink often and look away from the screen often also , even for a few seconds, every few minutes.

When you get locked into staring at it is when strain happens.

Keep the monitor at least 28 inches away also so the lenses of your eyes are barely using any accommodation for close vision.

Set the monitor to 0 for brightness and contrast.
