Protestants do you feel you have objective cerititude or only subjective certititude?
"The hardest thing in the world to open is a closed mind. People with closed minds seemingly believe that they wallow in the truth and are safely hidden and protected from outside influence. They are comfortable where they are, and they do not want to change because change requires effort. Also they are afraid that they might have to admit that they were in error if they were shown to be wrong. That would put them in a struggle with pride, which is the root of all sin. They are victims of what is commonly called "subjective certitude".
They are, "...ever learning yet never attaining knowledge of the truth (2Timothy 3:7)."
Objective certitude means that the mind conforms to objective truth. The person with objective certitude is certain of the truth because it is the truth. The person with subjective certitude is motivated by their feelings whether they are of truth or not. Those who are locked into subjective certitude are only fooling themselves into thinking that they are right simply because they are sincere in their beliefs. However, sincerity is a two edged sword and can be misleading, simply because a person can be sincerely wrong as well.
How are those with subjective certitude, resulting in closed minds, ever going to be able to even find the truth?
The answer to that one is that they will not ever find the truth unless they open their minds.

Firstly I'm yet to meet a Catholic that is not convicted by huge dollops of guilt. Most are unaware of the endless guilt trips that RCC contrive to ensure it's followers remain loyal to RCC rather than just Christ. In that respect I'd say I cannot imagine a Catholic that isn't at least in the largest part operating with subjective certitude.
Secondly anyone who claims objective certitude is a perfect example of delusion and a prime example of subjective certitude. Only those who recognise their feelings and the influences around them have the capacity to move toward objective certitude but in doing so they recognise the impossibility of the task.
Thirdly it's amusing that a Catholic would accuse anyone of closed mindedness. It's like a JW accusing someone of hiding the truth or a politician of accusing someone of lying or a theft being offended by dishonesty... you get the picture. I'm yet to meet a Catholic with any degree of passion in their faith (note that's not many) who doesn't claim Christ Himself instituted the Catholic church, only the Catholic church has apostolic succession, the Catholic church is the only true church, nobody can interpret the bible correctly without the church... and so on. In other words they are arrogantly closed minded.... would you fit into this category or another?

I wonder if you realize the irony of arguing that Protestants are close-minded based on an ancient mythology book.
Why do you worship a book written by superstitious ancients in the first place? And do you understand that anyone can cherry pick verses against Catholics just as easily as you did with Protestants? Are you familiar with the one against vain repetitions (rosary)? Are you familiar with the one against calling any man on earth father (pope)?
What would convince you that Protestants are true and Catholics are wrong? How many things can you name?
What would convince you that Protestants and Catholics are both wrong and your god isn't real? How many things can you name? If you can't name any, whose mind is closed?

You can say what you want, I'm still not listening to a Portuguese apparition everyone thinks is Mary tell me that Jesus means nothing, rosaries get you into heaven. So, nice try. Just tell God you were open-minded, okay?

We have assurance and certainty in all things via the Holy bible word of God
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Col 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ
