Leather sealant?

Update:

Does anyone know of some sort of spray that would seal the surface of a leather purse? I bought a handcrafted leather shoulder bag from Morocco last week and noticed after carrying it the first day while wearing a white cotton shirt that the brown dye from the leather had rubbed off onto the shirt leaving a huge dark stain. Fortunately the dye stain washed out but now I am hesitant to use the bag with anything but black clothing.

    You could try 3m scotchguard or simply just buy a new purse 👛 - you could also try a camping ⛺ and hiking shop 🏪 to see if they have in stock what you're looking for or a hardware store 🏪 such as bunnings warehouse

    If it comes off that easy, I doubt you will find any sealer will stay on either. Clean all the dye off the purse as possible. Then get some saddle wax and apply. Then wipe all the wax off as possible.
