Why do Arians like the JW's, INC and the Church of God International deny that Jesus is God?

They do this despite their being more than 200 verses in the Bible testifying to this fact that Jesus is the 2nd person in the Trinity of the one God. Why do they not believe the Bible but instead man-made doctrines that deny Jesus and thus His atoning sacrifice? We will pray for you to come into belief in Christ through God's grace.

I have not heard of INC. I really don't know why Jehovah Witnesses deny Jesus is God, I can only share a theory that I got from reading comments here. Some people have said that when some people get interested in Jehovah Witness because of the promise that they might not have to die. It's my guess that they are attracted to that and the idea of no Hell and they don't find out about some of the less popular aspects of JW such as no birthdays, no Christmas, and no worshiping Jesus as God. After they've already bought the part about Paradise Earth and possibly no death, they eventually buy the rest of it. I don't know why the founder of that group chose to take away Christ's deity.

I was just on your question page. You have some blizzard ideas alright.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not Arians or anything else except for being true Christians. We obey what the Bible itself teaches. One of those things is that Jesus is God's Son, but never Almighty God himself. That is the role of Jehovah, the Father of Jesus.

Probably you should pay attention to what Jesus had to say about not being God. But would you believe him over your own prejudices? As I look at the tone if your other questions, I would say, "No. You would not."

Chapter 14 of John should settle things. It is mostly quotes of Jesus. Among other things, Jesus tells that no can come to the Father except THROUGH him. If he were God, there would be no need of this.

Being Jehovah God's first creation, Jesus was with God for countless billions of years. Learning from him everything Jesus knows. So close a relationship as Father--Son, that Jesus could rightly say, "He that has seen the Son has seen the Father also." He never answered the "Show us the Father", with "HERE I IS."

Finally with verse 28, he told them he was going away TO his Father. Never he WAS the Father. They should be rejoicing because "MY FATHER IS GREATER THAN I."

When Jesus gave them the prophecy about the end of this wicked system by Satan, after giving them signs to look for, what did he say about when this will be? At Matthew 24:36, He brings out something impossible IF HE WERE GOD. "Concerning the day or hour, no one knows, not even himself. Only the Father knows." If he is God, then he would know exactly.

    No. He is not God.

  • The Bible does not contain any explicit mention of the doctrine of Trinity, though there are several fragments claimed to indirectly support it. There are also several fragments that appear to explicitly deny it, but this does not appear to be a problem. The only explicit trinitarian passage, known as Comma Johanneum (1 John 5:7-8), was deliberately added to the Bible sometime during the 4th century - around the time when the doctrine itself was officially formed. That's actually a grave sin in Christianity.[6] Oops.

There are several possible origins for Trinity. It might have developed from the phrase used during baptism: "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Lying for the jesus is still lying.

I'll tell you what. When you tell me why jesus was praying to himself in john 17:3 lofically, I'll start taking you slightly serious.

I'd love to say this is a good question but sadly it's not!

I'm not sure how you would expect anyone to discern the motives of those who deny God without judging them and frankly I'm saddened that a priest would enter into and invite others to enter into judging of others.

I don't think you or anyone else knows why anyone denies Jesus is God.

More importantly I don't know why you think it important to discern why they deny Jesus is God.

Focus on telling the things you know to be true, sharing Christ's love and correcting error and leave the questioning of motives to God!

Jesus said he was God's son, Almighty God said Jesus was his son.

Jesus plainly stated that he was more than a good man. He said: “I am God’s Son.” (John 10:36) Of course, anyone could claim to be the Son of God. But if Jesus’ claim were false, what would that make him? Really, not a good man, but a great fraud!

The most reliable testimony came from God himself. He twice said concerning Jesus: “This is my Son.” (Matthew 3:17; 17:5)

Just think: The Scriptures report only a few occasions when God’s own voice was heard on earth yet on two of them he affirmed Jesus as his Son! This is by far the best proof that Jesus was who he said he was.

Jesus never claimed to be God, but he repeatedly spoke of himself as “God’s Son.” Even his enemies acknowledged this.

Jesus never even suggested that he was God or was equal to him. So to teach such a thing dishonors Jesus.

When Jesus was a man on earth, did he know all that the future held? No, for he humbly acknowledged: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matt. 24:36)

“When the writers of the New Testament speak of God they mean the God and Father of Jesus Christ.

When they speak of Jesus Christ, they do not speak of him, nor do they think of him as God.

He is God’s Christ, God’s Son.

That's one of the tools Satan the god of this world uses to ..."blind the minds of the non believers".....2 Cor4: 4 1st Timothy 2: 5 There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man Jesus Christ and there many places that speak the same. If God, The holy Spirit and Jesus were one (how dumb is that) Jesus would have said so.

It makes sense to me that if Satan is trying to destroy Christianity, the best way to accomplish that is to counterfeit it but take out the most important part of it. I am not familiar with any of the other groups, but JWs have removed God as Jesus and have distorted the nature of both the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not God, but just the Father's force and the describe the Father as a very punishing deity which demands followers to sacrifice everything necessary to live happy and mentally healthy lives on earth. Out of all the people on earth, the only ones he seems to like are the Jehovah's Witnesses who spend most of their time trying to convince other people Jesus isn't God. They say their deity will destroy everyone on the earth except them. That is not God's nature, so they have even stripped their religion of the Father.

They also sacrifice children, which is something demon worshiping nations in Bible times did. In the Bible, those worshiping demons sacrificed their children in ritual murder. The JWs sacrifice their children's childhood by isolating them from other children, sending them door to door when other children are out playing, and filling their minds with images of Armageddon so that they grow up in fear.

Everything that is of God (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) makes people mentally and spiritually healthy. Everything that is of Satan does the opposite. God binds families; Satan divides them. Shunning divides families.

The JW brand of Arianism counterfeits Christianity but has removed the true nature of God in all 3 persons and replaced it with something entirely different.

Most likely the individuals and organizations deny Jesus is God because that's what they actually believe. They are wrong, though.

This is in response to Terry's challenge to you to play Bible ping pong with him. Likely you did not see comments. He posted Rev 14:14-15 and claims that Jesus was taking orders from "another" angel. That is not how I interpret it.

According to Hebrews 1:1-4 Jesus is much higher than angels. That pretty much says that he cannot be an angel and an angel cannot give orders to Jesus. The book of Revelation is symbolic. The angels were messengers and not there to give orders, especially not to Jesus.

1 After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, 2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world. 3 The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. 4 Thus he became so far better than the angels as he has inherited a name superior to theirs.

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”? And in another place he says, “I will be his father and he will be my son.” 6 But when he again brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!” 7 And he says of the angels, “He makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,” 8 but of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. So God, your God, has anointed you over your companions with the oil of rejoicing.” 10 And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment, 12 and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out.” 13 But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?2

Ok Terry, I will challenge you again to refute the teaching of the Trinity and explain away the more than 200 verses from the Bible supporting the Trinity on my blog. You know that you cannot but instead keep vilifying my Lord and Savior by calling Him a liar and the Bible false teaching. Here are the links again, http://fiatvolvntastua.blogspot.com/2014/02/part-o... and http://fiatvolvntastua.blogspot.com/2014/02/discus...

    God bless!

    In Christ

    Fr. Joseph

OK Terry, Jesus is being described by the Angel as the "royal" figure from Dan 7:13, 26-27 and in Luk 17. Jesus conquered evil as both God and man (Mat26:24, Mar 14:62). Jesus has Kingship over the world through His Church as God (Mar 16:19, Acts 7:56, Rev 14-16. Jesus will destroy all who deny Him (Mat 26-64, Mar 14:62)

I have never encountered any such assertion made by Jesus, himself, to the effect that he is the One Supreme God. He said, he is one with God, a son of God, but not God, Himself. Look again. Don't just repeat what you have heard. Investigate and find out for yourself.
