Is it worth it to save my wisdom tooth?

Update:

OK, here's what is going on. I'm a 62 yo male. Went to the dentist yesterday and x-rays showed #1 and #2 with problems. (wisdom and molar?)

They are sending me to someone else for a consult whether it would be in the best interest to save #1. Both will need root canal and a crown.

Would it be wiser and/or cheaper to pull #1 and do the recommended actions to #2? or best to do both crown and root canal to #1 & #2?

it is never worth any amount to save a wisdom tooth. being the last tooth in the arch it is not needed. it is a waste of money and would not even be missed if you had it extracted which is why no dentist tried to talk you into replacing them afterwards.

Get rid of it. I only have 1 molar on each side at 68 and eat very well.
