How can I get more space to type my questions?

You have 140 characters for the Question title where it says What's up?.

To add details to your Question click on Details. You Must do that before you Submit.

The character limit is 2500 Desktop. ... 1500 on Mobile.

Click Expand if you need a bigger page.

Once Question is posted you are allowed to make 5 updates using 500 characters.

To add those updates click the Blue Edit button under the Question and then Update.

Use the details section to type your questions. Its there for a reason :)
