One for the police haters here - they arent all bad.?

Officer Casserly retired this year(after 36 years of service), he was hired on having a personality suited to lead, he was trained properly, and he had an honour-code.

The Crooks in Uniform we've seen the last year, were young Officers(usually with less than 5 years of service) who clearly didn't have a personality to Enforce the Law, they clearly didn't have the training(a lot of shooting happened because the officer panicked), and they have no honour-code, even mistakes are denied, to 'hold the line'.

Officer Casserly is what we should strive to get back to(invest in officers, instead of SWAT-vans, and military-grade weapons), but unfortunately he's a 'retiring-breed'.

That's correct they are not all bad, the media just chooses to do the stories that stir up the most controversy and focus on the bad cops.

It's not "cop hating", there are excellent brave officers out there, but equally there are some poorly trained idiots who make the rest look bad. it's how you deal with the poor officers that determine how people feel about them.

The USA police seem to be rather trigger happy and it seems they can literally get away with murder.

They get paid to work and spend all their time doing nothing. Well at least the young man he was helping gave him something to do.
