Why is it you earn points for some questions you answer (on Yahoo), but other questions you get no points?

You get no points for answering questions that already have a BA chosen (this changed; in the past you did).
You also get no points for answering your OWN question - and you can't pick your own answer as best, either.

That is because no points are earned from answering your own questions or questions that have a BA selected.

Some say if you answer a question that has BA award already you do not get points, or it may be a glitch that says you get 0 points when in reality you get 2 points,
Check your points awarded by clicking on points box in "profile".
