If a NASCAR driver can't race for religious reasons, Would NASCAR give them a Chase Waiver?

Asking out of curiosity . Hypothetically speaking if a Jewish driver can't race because of a Jewish holiday, would he get a chase waiver?

Without a doubt, they would give the guy a waiver. They'd have a press release about it not being the drivers fault that his holiday conflicted with the NASCAR schedule. The fans want it, they would say. Then they'd call up Vince McMahon from WWE and ask him, "Did we do it right?".

Is this Mike Helton or Brian France posting on Yahoo trying to gauge fan interest in expanding the chase field again?

I doubt it. And even if they would, most teams that are chase capable would not put someone in a car who could not commit to the full schedule.
