Does Ibuprofin inhibit bone growth of a broken bone?

Having a very slow recovery of a broken Tibia. A friend told me yesterday that in rare instances Ibuprofin can inhibit bone growth. They said that it had happened to them and that when they stopped taking IBU bone knitting improved drastically. Just want another opinion.
