Is anyone interested in spamming the spammers?

Aren't you tired of getting spam every day? Spam them back.

Make THEM delete unwanted email.

Fill up THEIR inbox over quota.

I send them a bunch of pictures; maximum file size, hundreds.

If 10 of us do this, it will cause them a problem. If 100 of us do it, now they're screwed.

Save those email addresses from spammers, and spam them all once or twice a month. Then we can trade our lists of email addresses and do it again.

    Not a good idea!

The real spammers always use fake "From" addresses so they don't get the hassle of bounced or returned mail.

All you are doing is adding to the junk that some other victim is receiving...

(Just look on here at the number of people complaining about getting flooded with mailer-demon bounced mail messages & thinking their accounts have been hacked as they get the returned junk. Anything sent in reply to a spam email goes to some poor sod like that.)

If you really want to help, join a service like Spamcop and send each unique spam message on to them.

The *real* source can usually be traced from the email headers and the sender reported / blocked properly.

What else can we do to inhibit these spammers directly?

Everyone has this spam problem. Yet nobody is willing to do anything or give advice on how to combat them? Wow.

I don't want or need to "filter" spam. Nor do I want to "register" on some website that purportedly fights them.

When someone invades your privacy, invade theirs. They opened the door. What is wrong with that? It just takes 100 of us.

Usually spammers have no reply email addresses
