It relates to equality as women continue to believe that despite the 19th amendment, they're still being discriminated against. There's no doubt that the media depicts women (like Carl's Jr commercials), however we must also realize that there are still people who vote for the "empowerment of women" because they're feminists and want society to make men subservient to women. Women are allowed to work where they want, they can be paid as much, if not more than any man. As a matter of fact, women are allowed to serve in infantry units in the US Marine Corps, which I personally don't believe I agree with.
