Can somebody tell me why I should become a Jehovah Witness, or shouldn't?

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is Michael the Archangel. Wrong.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in eternal torment for unbelievers and others. Wrong.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are part of the Godhead/Trinity. Wrong

Stay away from the JW organization. Read the Holy Bible and find a non-denominational church to help you find Jesus.

Becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses will help you with all those things. Take the time to go out on jw.org and check out some basic information. Also you may want to look at tv.jw.org.

You should definitely become a JW if...

You want to subtly brainwashed into having no opinion on spiritual matters

You love spending countless hours annoying people and with next to no response

You want to isolate and distance yourself from all friends and family

You are the sort who loves to argue about the smallest irrelevant detail

You like the idea of always being the victim of persecution or derision

You have little capacity to read the bible and discern the truth

If you're even slightly not in favour of any of these.... run!

Why you should? Because Jehovah deserves our affiliation towards him! Because if it were not for Him, we would not exist.

Why shouldn't you? Because you have no desire to please your Creator. You rather be on satan's side. Because you do not like the idea of living for ever, in perfect conditions? Because you care that only you are happy and don't care about the entire world being happy?

Shouldn't. Definitely shouldn't. They make mormons look sane, and as soon as it's clear to them that you're not a potential convert, they turn into some of the rudest, most vile christians i've ever met.

Ironically I just asked a question about peer pressure and how it affects beliefs. Now here you are asking people to tell you what to believe. I give you more credit than that.

I won't tell you what you should do, but if you are showing some interest in them, I recommend you study the Bible with them and see if they direct you to your Bible during the study, and if their teachings are consistent with it. I have found their teachings to be sound.

Think for yourself! Don't let people on Yahoo Answers pick your religion for you.

Instead of boring you with the unbiblical and unorthodox teachings of the watchtower society and their doctrine let me ask you this:

"If you died tonight do have that assurance in your heart that you would go to heaven ?"

Be honest ! Do you believe you are a good enough person to go to heaven and be with your creator ?

Your answer is probably no or maybe -right ?

What does the bible (Gods word) say about us ?

(Rom 3:23) "For ALL have SINNED" > that means you and me and everyone else. We haven't lived a SINLESS life. Gods standards are perfection for anyone to enter his heaven.

(Rom 6:23) "The WAGES of SIN is DEATH" > yes, God has to punish sin. That's what the wages (cost) of sin is >death < Not just dying in your body and being put in a grave. There is another death.

(Heb 9:27) "As it is appointed unto men once to die, BUT after this is the JUDGMENT"

Every sinner has an appointment with God for a SECOND death !

(Rev 20: 14-15) "And DEATH and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the SECOND DEATH"

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was CAST into the LAKE of FIRE"

This is all bad news for sinners ! They will spend all of eternity in the lake of fire being tormented (Luke 16:23) for the wages of sin they have committed before God.

Do you want to know the GOOD NEWS ?

God loved us (not our sins) that sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins (John 3:16, Rom 5:8 & 1Cor 15;1-4)

Eternal life in heaven is a FREE GIFT by Gods GRACE through FAITH in Christ who paid the penalty for our sins by shedding his blood on a cross so we could be FREE from the wages of sin (Eph 2:8-9, 1Cor 17:18 & Eph 1:13)

Jesus is GOD (John 1:1,14) That is why he could live a perfect and sinless life on earth and then die for us and rise from the dead three days later (2Cor 5:21)

Believe in YOUR HEART that Jesus died for you and eternal life will be yours (Rom 10:9-10 & Acts 16:31) No works are required (Rom 4:4-5)

How can you work for a GIFT of eternal life ? (Rom 5:15-17)

If you join the JWs you are NEVER going to hear this wonderful bible truth.

The watchtower is a man made religion with their own set of rules on how to inherit eternal life which can never please God (Rom 8:8-9 & Col 2:8)

Jesus said he was the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE to the Father NOT religions (John 14:6) not matter how sincere they may be.

look don't make fun of them we should be better people towards one another and try to get to honor God. i use to go to church with them they are one of the kindest most civil people out there but yes its true ones they see you as a apostate they stop talking to you i was about to convert except for one reason is john 1:1 and 14 they don't accept it and say jesus is god and not almighty God that is blasphemy against our savior

No. I have no right to interfere in your God given gift of free will. If you are sincerely seeking the truth about God, then you need to ask Him to direct you to find it. Did Jesus not promise "Ask and it will be given to you - seek and you will find" ?

God spent 1600 years having the bible written so you could know everything you need to know to establish a good relationship with Him and be given the opportunity to return to the condition in which you were meant to be.

So the answer to your question is to study the bible carefully and then decide for yourself what you want to do with the rest of your life.
